WENATCHEE — In a dominant performance Tuesday night, the Wenatchee AppleSox routed the Kamloops NorthPaws 15-0, securing their fourth consecutive victory and etching a new name in the franchise record books.

Quincy Vassar (2-3) was the standout performer, striking out six batters over six scoreless innings to claim his first home win of the summer. More significantly, Vassar's third strikeout of the game marked his 111th for the AppleSox, surpassing Hunter Boyd (2017-18) for the most strikeouts in team history.

The AppleSox offense was relentless, scoring in every inning from the second through the sixth. Aidan Dougherty led the charge with a remarkable 6-RBI game, going 3-for-3 at the plate and drawing two walks. Dougherty's performance included a bases-clearing triple in the fifth inning and a two-run single in the sixth.

Wenatchee's offensive onslaught was further bolstered by Evan Cloyd's two-run triple and James Castagnola's first home run of the season in a five-run third inning. The team continued to pile on, scoring four more runs in the fifth.

The AppleSox pitching staff maintained control throughout the game. Following Vassar's strong start, Karsten Sweum, Josh Mejia, and Conner Ashworth each contributed a scoreless inning to complete the shutout.

With this victory, Wenatchee maintains its position atop the North Division standings, having already secured a postseason berth by winning the first half of the season. The team will look to clinch its 10th series win on Wednesday night at Paul Thomas Sr. Stadium.
