Larry Bruce “Ozzie” Morley
Formerly of Ritzville and Brewster, WA
Larry Bruce “Ozzie’ Morley passed away on July 10, 2024, of dementia, after a short stay at Casa Mia Adult Family Home. He was born on September 3, 1941, in Colville, WA, to Garret Bruce “Gary” Morley and Merle Etta (Matthews) Morley. He attended Brewster High School and graduated with the class of 1959.
On May 20, 1963, Ozzie married Albert Rae “Mumma” Morley. He attended Eastern Washington University, where he graduated with a BA in Business, on March 17, 1972. He worked at Mumma Trucking as the bookkeeper in the ‘70’s and 80’s, then worked at Central Pre-Mix as a driver in Auburn, WA, in the ‘90’s, and retired from the Spokane office in 2004. He then worked another decade for the Ritzville Golf Course as the Marshall, from 2004-2014.
Ozzie was a member of the Teamsters. He also enjoyed a great game of golf and volunteered as an AAU Baseball and Basketball coach, as well as a Little League Coach.
Ozzie is preceded in death by his wife, Alberta, in May of 2022. He is survived by his sons: Shannon Morley of Spokane, WA, and Cory Morley (Kim), of Methow, WA; daughter, Tracey Morley of Lake Stevens, WA; granddaughter, Madison Morley (Jack Zalinski) of Spokane, WA; grandsons: Corbin Morley (Julia Lupkes) of Spokane Valley, WA; Garrett Morley of Spokane, WA, Jarradd Morley (Marilyn) of Spokane Valley, WA, and Logan Morley (Katie) of Spokane Valley, WA; and sisters: Lois Clum of Spokane, WA, and Judy Clipps of Wenatchee, WA., as well as sister-in-law Nancy Mumma as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 10:00 AM, at Barnes Chapel, 510 W. Indian Ave, Brewster, WA followed immediately after by an inurnment at Locust Grove in Brewster. There will be a reception held at the American Legion Post No. 97, 102 3rd St, Brewster.
