CHELAN COUNTY  – Authorities have reopened Icicle River Road and surrounding recreation areas as the manhunt for Travis Decker enters its second week, though law enforcement warns the public to remain cautious.

According to a June 7 update from the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office, law enforcement agencies have searched dozens of structures and vast stretches of forest and riverbank in the area where Decker was last seen. The search has involved hundreds of officers and continues to rely on tips from the public, digital evidence, and information gathered through newly issued search warrants.

“We will be removing the road blocks and opening the Icicle River Road as we have determined there to be no credible threat in that area,” the update stated. The U.S. Forest Service has been notified that the surrounding recreation areas may also reopen.

Decker, 32, of the Wenatchee area, is wanted on three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of first-degree kidnapping in connection with the deaths of his daughters — Paityn Decker, 9; Evelyn Decker, 8; and Olivia Decker, 5. Their bodies were discovered June 2 near Rock Island Campground following a weekend-long search prompted by a missed custodial exchange.

The Sheriff’s Office continues to ask for the public’s help.

“Please review your doorbell cameras and security cameras for signs of Mr. Decker,” the June 7 statement said. “If you are out in the woods, or recreation areas, and come across something you believe would be beneficial for law enforcement, note the time and location and mark the location on your electronics if possible.”

Authorities emphasized that Decker should be considered dangerous and warned residents not to attempt to approach or contact him.

He is described as a white male, 5-foot-8, 190 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. A reward of up to $20,000 is being offered for information that leads directly to his arrest.

Anyone with information is urged to call the CCSO tip line at 509-667-6845 or submit a tip at https://www.co.chelan.wa.us/sheriff/forms/submit-a-tip.
