Residents warned as search for Travis Decker focuses on Ingalls Creek, Valley Hi area

BLEWETT PASS – Authorities are searching the Ingalls Creek and Valley Hi area for Travis Decker, who is believed to potentially be in the area. 

Decker is accused of killing his three young daughters, whose bodies were discovered a week ago near Rock Island Campground in Chelan County.

The Ingalls Creek and Valley High area is located about seven miles up U.S. 97 from U.S. 2. In a community alert Monday evening, Chelan County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) said law enforcement would have a visible presence throughout the night as a precaution. Residents and visitors in the area were advised to secure homes and vehicles, stay alert, and report suspicious activity to 911. 

Authorities advise that Decker should be considered dangerous and warn residents not to attempt to approach or contact him. If you see or believe you have seen Decker, call 911 immediately.

He is described as a white male, 5-foot-8, 190 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information is urged to call the CCSO tip line at 509-667-6845 or submit a tip at https://www.co.chelan.wa.us/sheriff/forms/submit-a-tip.
