WENATCHEE — The American Red Cross has scheduled blood drives in Chelan, Grant and Okanogan counties this month as the organization works to maintain its blood supply following a summer shortage.
Four drives are scheduled in Chelan County. Cashmere High School, 329 Tigner Road, will host a drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 17. A Leavenworth-area drive is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Ponderosa Community Club, 21100 Cayuse St.
In Wenatchee, drives are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 15 at Wenatchee Valley Fire Department Station 11, 206 Easy St., and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 16 at the Wenatchee Valley YMCA, 217 Orondo Ave.
In Grant County, a blood drive will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 9 at the Sagebrush Community Center, 23 Desert Aire Drive, in Mattawa.
In Okanogan County, Brewster High School, 503 S. Seventh St., will host a drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 30.
The Red Cross said its blood supply remains vulnerable after recovering from critically low levels during a summer blood shortage. All blood types are needed.
