OMAK — The Okanogan-Omak Rotary Club Foundation has awarded $16,500 in scholarships to students attending Wenatchee Valley College-North for the 2024-2025 academic year.
The scholarships, benefiting nine students from Okanogan and northern Douglas County, are funded through two foundation accounts. The General Foundation Account provided $9,000, while the Catherine Rawson Nursing Scholarship Account contributed $7,500.
Recipients may use the funds for various educational expenses, including tuition, books, childcare, and transportation. The Catherine Rawson Nursing Scholarship specifically supports students enrolled in the Registered Nursing Program or pursuing a BSN degree.
Scholarship recipients hail from various communities in the region, including Omak, Okanogan, Pateros, Tonasket, Winthrop, and Twisp.
The Okanogan-Omak Rotary Club Foundation, a tax-deductible charitable entity, focuses on supporting individuals pursuing diverse career paths, including academic, vocational, and trade professions.
