Ellen (Hublitz) Park, 74, Wenatchee, WA

Ellen Marie (Hublitz) Park passed away on Thursday, May 8th, at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. Ellen was surrounded by family members who loved and adored her at the time of her passing, at the age of 74.
Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Richard D. Park; her son, James David Holmes; her father, Roy Hublitz; and her brother, Jim Hublitz.

She is survived by her mother, Anne Hublitz of Pateros, WA; her son, Ed Holmes (Dawn) of Wenatchee, WA; her stepson, Richard D. Park (Trish) of Wenatchee, WA; and her daughter-in-law, Molly Holmes of Cedar Hills, UT. Ellen also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Dalton Holmes, Ariel (Holmes) Spark, Hannah Holmes, Emily (Holmes) DiMattia, Brigham Holmes, Kate Holmes, and Richard D. Park, along with seven great-grandchildren.

Ellen grew up on the hay and apple farmlands outside of Brewster, WA, where she and her family raised a variety of livestock. During her youth, one of her favorite jobs was working at the ticket counter at the Brewster cinema.

Above all, Ellen was a devoted mother to her two sons, Ed and James. She poured her heart into raising them with love, patience, and strength. Whether cheering them on at school events, offering a listening ear during hard times, or teaching them the values of kindness and hard work, she was their constant source of comfort and encouragement. Her love for them was steady and unconditional, and she considered being their mom her greatest joy and accomplishment.

Ellen and Rich were high school sweethearts whose paths diverged as life led them in different directions. Many years later, fate offered them a second chance, and they found their way back to one another. Their love, rekindled after decades apart, was a beautiful reminder that true connection can endure time and distance. Their reunion brought deep joy to their lives and to all who witnessed their story.
