EAST WENATCHEE—According to the board's official agenda, the Douglas County Board of Commissioners has scheduled a series of budget work sessions for October 7 and 8.
The sessions will involve presentations from various county departments, including District Court, Juvenile Services, Office of Public Defense, Superior Court, County Clerk, Auditor, and WSU Extension.
Meetings will take place at both the Douglas County Public Services Building in East Wenatchee and the Douglas County Courthouse in Waterville. The board has allocated specific time slots for each department's presentation.
In addition to budget discussions, the agenda includes updates from the Transportation and Land Services departments. Notable items include a Local Agency Agreement with the Washington State Department of Transportation for the Upper Pearl Hill Bridge and a supplemental consultant agreement for Webb Avenue.
The board is also set to open bids on October 8 for a construction project at the NCW Fairgrounds, specifically for a new Goat, Sheep & Swine Barn.
