Digital access campaign offers microgrants across NCW region

Posted

WENATCHEE — Organizations across North Central Washington are being invited to strengthen digital access in their communities through a new regional campaign that includes microgrants of up to $2,000 for qualifying projects.

The 2026 Digital Access Commitments Campaign, announced July 6 by NCW Tech Alliance, the NCW Digital Access Coalition and Thriving Together NCW, encourages businesses, nonprofits, schools, libraries, local governments and other organizations to pledge actions that improve digital connectivity, technology skills and access to online services across Chelan, Douglas, Grant, Okanogan, Adams and Ferry counties.

Campaign organizers say commitments can range from expanding digital literacy resources and improving accessibility to hosting public events during Digital Access Month in September. Organizations are also encouraged to highlight digital inclusion efforts they already have underway rather than creating entirely new programs.

"We know that many organizations across North Central Washington are already doing meaningful work to help people get connected and build digital confidence," NCW Tech Alliance Marketing Director David Mabee said in a news release. "The Commitments Campaign gives us a way to lift up those efforts, invite more partners to the table, and build momentum for a more connected region."

As part of the campaign, Thriving Together NCW is offering microgrants of up to $2,000 to help organizations launch or expand digital access initiatives. Eligible projects include digital skills training, community outreach, accessibility improvements, digital navigation services, community engagement and September Digital Access Month activities. Applications are open through July 31, with award recipients expected to be announced by Aug. 11.

Participating organizations will be recognized during an Oct. 7 event showcasing 2026 Digital Access Commitments from across the region. The Digital Access Coalition, operating through NCW Tech Help, is supported by NCW Tech Alliance and sponsored by Thriving Together NCW and Microsoft.
