Bridgeport welcomes autumn with second annual fall festival

Posted

BRIDGEPORT – The first day of fall is escorted in on the arm of the autumnal equinox on Sept. 22. For those holdouts that demand more proof, there is the Bridgeport Fall Festival hosted by the Chamber of Commerce.

This year’s second annual Fall Festival took place from 4-7 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 28 in Bouska Park. It continues a tradition that started last year in Fireman Park, featuring many of the same events that proved to be such hits in 2023: face painting, the cream pie throw, apple bobbing, pumpkin painting, and more.

Chamber President Jose Sanchez said he was pleased with the turnout despite the change of locations for this year’s festival. The chamber has been proactive in adding new events to the schedule of traditional favorites like April’s Easter Egg Hunt and Bridgeport Daze during the first weekend in June.

Next on the list is Santa Comes to Town on Dec. 7.
