BREWSTER – The Bears’ state varsity track and field teams accomplished a feat not easily achieved in Brewster’s already storied sports history. Both the boys’ and girls’ teams won third-place trophies on May 23-25, at the WIAA 1B, 2B, 1A State Championships in Yakima.
Led by five individual championship performances in shot put, discus, javelin, 4x100 relay, and 4x200 relay the Bears also set five school records and one state record along the way to the podium. The Brewster girls captured 56.5 points and the boys 42 points in their third-place finishes.
