Three scams target Brewster family

BREWSTER - A couple of senior citizens have been targeted three different times by different phone scams in the last few months.

Acela Doyle, a Cuban-born longtime resident of the U.S. and her husband, Donald Doyle, first received a phone call of a supposed Medicare staffer, asking for her checking account information.

BREWSTER - Joe Glandon has a commanding vista from his new house overlooking North Star Road in Brewster. From the elevated bench looking southeast he can see a wildfire coming for miles. But it was the Carlton Complex wildfire that came from the opposite direction in July, 2014, that consumed Glandon's home along with many others, and set him on a path to the rebuilt residence he has today.
